BIOGRAPHY
Born in Buenos Aires. She is a visual artist, she lives and works in Barcelona since 1978.
She is a Professor of Drawing and Painting at the Prilidiano Pueyrredon School of Artistic Teachers in Buenos Aires. She graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Fine Arts of Barcelona. Since 1990 she has been studying techniques, processes and audiovisual expressions and theory and practices of contemporary art in Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Rome and Barcelona.
Since 1998, together with Marga Ximenez, she has directed MXEspai1010, a contemporary art space in Barcelona, with which she also created Edicions1010. She coordinates and curates cycles and exhibitions such as Videopak, an annual cycle of video installations The unknown of the known, Double skins, Newest, Politicizations of malaise, Another end. THE RMAINDER, among others, combining her artistic work with curating and teaching work.
In 2004, she received the 2008 Initiatives award from the Association of Art Critics of Catalonia for the creation of Edicions1010. For the publication of Politicizations of malaise, she received the award for the best publication of the year 2018 by the Association of Art Critics of Catalonia (with Laia Manonelles and Daniel Gasol). In 2020, she receives the Multiverso scholarship granted by BBVA for the production of the play DONDE_LA LENGUA POR VENIR. In 2021 he works with the IN_CERT project with Jo Milne, for which he obtains the nomination for the best exhibition project of the year by the ACCA and in 2022 he receives, together with Amanda Cuesta, the first prize for the best historical exhibition by the ACCA for Another end. THE REMAINDER at the Center for Culture and Memory of Barcelona.
